With all of this arctic weather we are having, it got me thinking about the beach :)  We recently traveled to Kauai.  On our trip we visited a couple of quilt shops (surprise, surprise!).  It seems that every time I travel somewhere, I HAVE to find the quilt shops.  Am I alone?  I'm sure I'm not.  Well, on this trip, we had to purchase a new suitcase to bring back all of the fabric we purchased.  My husband wasn't really amused, but he also wasn't very surprised.  The only thing that surprised him was the amount of fabric we purchased.  Well, once back in Kansas, Betty and I got busy making our new Hawaii quilts.  Here they are, with only the binding left to attach.  Mine will be called Aloha Kauai, 2013 - I'm not sure what she will be calling hers.  Send us some of your travel quilts, or if you don't have them completed yet, send pics of the fabrics you picked up along the way.  Enjoy....
